- France World Cup winner joins in a deal worth £41m
- The 28-year-old’s signing had been delayed by red tape
Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Raphaël Varane from Real Madrid, presenting the World Cup winner to the Old Trafford crowd before before Saturday lunchtime’s match with Leeds.
The deal for the Frenchman had been delayed over Covid-19 quarantine and a minor contractual issue after the 28-year-old travelled over from Spain.
