Jury asked to consider whether claims of self-defense and attempted citizen’s arrest were ‘completely made up for trial’
As the trial of the white men accused of murdering Ahmaud Arbery reached closing arguments on Monday, prosecutors urged the jury to “use your common sense” and convict all three defendants.
Travis McMichael, his father Greg McMichael and their neighbor William “Roddie” Bryan each face charges of felony murder, malice murder and other counts over the killing of Arbery, a 25 year-old Black man shot dead in south Georgia last year.
