Honor has held other companies such as Xiaomi off to retain the third-highest share of the Chinese smartphone market. The OEM is now third in this market; then again, the greatest year-on-year (YoY) gain in the country went to Apple for the latest quarter of 2021 (3Q2021). Despite this success, the market as a whole shrank by 5% YoY.
