Jamaican Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah was named Female World Athlete of the Year at the World Athletics Awards 2021 held virtually on Wednesday. She earned the honour after an outstanding year of sprinting. Meantime, Karsten Warholm of Norway was named Male World Athlete of the Year.
