Italian diaspora

A third wave is thought to be occurring by the socioeconomic problems caused by the financial crisis of the early 21st century, especially for the youth. Italy has also experienced significant internal migrations, included within the [[Italian geographical region|Italian geographical borders]]. The most massive, that happened between 1950s and 1970s, caused the migration, from [[Southern Italy|southern]] to [[northern Italy]], of four million of Italians.<ref name=”uniud”/>
