Riot Games has released a visual showing the artwork behind its upcoming agent release, Neon. Neon will be the 19th official VALORANT agent to date after Chamber’s release in Act 3.
The announcement came soon after the Prime Gaming looting page accidentally leaked the information. Soon after this leak, Riot Games released an official post confirming the artwork and giving us a sneak peek into the newest agent. And in doing so, they also gave another hint to the agent’s kit, which seems to revolve around speed.
Neon
Neon is the latest Valorant agent and hails from Manila in the Philippines. The developers have been teasing the agent for several months now, including a clip during the VCT Champions Finals. Riot Games also started its State of the Agents December newsletter with a Philippines greeting, giving us a hint into the new agent’s origins.

As the various hints suggest, Neon’s kit focuses on speed. Internally codenamed ‘Sprinter’, Riot Games premiered a short clip during the VCT Champions in Berlin. A female voice, presumably Neon, could be heard in the background – “I hope they like getting hit by lightning. Get ready, I go fast.”
The agent is likely to have abilities that focus on speed and agility. It seems she might be the fastest character in Valorant upon release.
Release Date
Neon is slated for Episode 4 Act 1 which is expected to release on January 12, 2021. The Philippines agent is the 19th agent to join Valorant and will be a great addition to the team. Valorant has seen rapid growth in Philipines with Team Secret finishing in the 5-8th place at the Champions event in Berlin.
)
NEON might be a duelist due to her speed, although she could potentially be an initiator as well. For now, fans are eagerly awaiting for the final release date of Neon.
