::::::::And I just tried explaining how it’s not similar at all! Let me put it this way, there’s Hanss (the spelling of the German name “Hans” in Latvian) and Ansis (an actual Latvian version of the German name “Hans”). I’m basically asking as to why the name page Hanss on Latvian Wikipedia cannot be linked with the name page Hans on English Wikipedia since the only Hans in Latvian is Hanss, but you keep saying that Ansis and Hans shouldn’t be linked because they’re different names, but that’s not what we’re even proposing. We seem to be talking about two completely different things here. —[[Dalībnieks:Turaids|Turaids]] ([[Dalībnieka diskusija:Turaids|diskusija]]) 2022. gada 9. janvāris, plkst. 05.24 (EET)

:::::::::Yeah, you made yourself clear, but I don’t see you commenting on the proposed alternative solution and some of the other points I raised. [[Dalībnieks:Jura1|Jura1]] ([[Dalībnieka diskusija:Jura1|diskusija]]) 2022. gada 10. janvāris, plkst. 01.25 (EET)

::::::::::If I would have, you wouldn’t be asking the same questions. All Alfred gets in Latvian is a grammatical ending so it can be declined and becomes Alfreds. The Latvian version of Alfred is Alfrēds, so only makes sense to connect Alfred with Alfreds and Alfrēds with Alfrēds. Alfred/Alfrēds is the same as Steve/Stefano, Alfred/Alfreds is not. Most foreign names don’t have a Latvian version in same sense as Steve/Stefano though, so unless you see the difference we’re just spinning wheels. —[[Dalībnieks:Turaids|Turaids]] ([[Dalībnieka diskusija:Turaids|diskusija]]) 2022. gada 10. janvāris, plkst. 11.08 (EET)
