Johannes Thingnes Boe and most other Norwegian men’s biathlon stars will skip this week’s World Cup races in Germany and train for the upcoming Beijing Olympics instead. The Norwegian federation said on Monday that Boe, his brother Tarjei Boe, Sturla Holm Laegreid and others would train at high altitude and not compete at the January 12-16 events in Ruhpolding. They will however return for next week’s events in Anterselva, Italy, the last World Cup races before the February 4-20 Games in China.
