Mass solid-state battery production for electric cars slated for 2030, says CATL, despite NIO’s semi-solid battery success

The world’s largest electric vehicle battery maker CATL isn’t optimistic about the speed of solid-state battery development and pegs 2025 as the year when the first samples will appear. CATL expects just 1% of electric cars to boast solid-state batteries by 2030.
