German sprinter Alexandra Burghardt will move from summer to winter sport when she makes her bobsleigh debut at the November 28 World Cup in Innsbruck, the athletics online portal leichtathletik.de said Wednesday. Burghardt, 27, reached the semi-finals of the 100 metres at the Tokyo Olympic Games and was Germany’s fastest sprinter over the distance in 2021 in 11.01 seconds.
