Counterpoint Research’s latest report on the smartphone processor market shows that MediaTek has once again taken the lead in the latest complete quarter of 2021 (3Q2021). The three-month period has seen a number of intriguing changes, such as Unisoc taking a 10% share of shipments for the first time. Then again, Apple stayed more or less where it was and Qualcomm continues to lead the 5G baseband sector.
