Vitality advanced to the BLAST Premier: World Final 2021 Upper Bracket Finals after a two-map series against G2 Esports. This hails off of their 2-0 victory over Astralis on Wednesday.
The French roster has seen their ups and downs for the duration of their playtime, but in the last few matchups, they’ve earned their stripes and placed themselves as the second-best team in the world according to HLTV’s statistics. On Saturday, December 18th, Vitality will face Gambit.
Team Vitality
Looking deeper into the match-up, spectators are certainly staring at Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut. In the games against G2, he used his skills to reach a 74.5 percent KAST with 42 kills in the two-map match. In his match-up against Astralis, he reached a 90.5 percent KAST and a total ADR of 124.

But the rest of Vitality wasn’t anything to sneeze at either. Dan “apEX” Madesclaire led his team through the tough fights, only holding a negative KDA percentage in one match against Astralis. Youngbloods Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier and Jayson “Kyojin” Nguyen Van also held their own.
Many were in doubt of their performances in the last few showings. During the Blast World Finals, they stepped up with Kyojin’s 1v2 clutch against G2 on Nuke’s pistol round paving their way to victory.
BLAST World Final 2021
Gambit is looking strong in their matchups as well. To reach the Upper Bracket finals, they faced Heroic and Team Liquid. In a decisive three-map match, Gambit forced Team Liquid into the lower brackets. This was after Liquid’s 2-1 victory over Na’Vi who currently reign supreme in ranking.

Surely, eyes will be on the match between these two powerhouses. The winner of this match-up will face the winner of the lower bracket finals. For now, Gambit Esports, Team Liquid, and Natus Vincere are on their way to claiming the title. They are all teams with high ambitions, so even the tiniest of play can end up making a world of differences.
