60 FPS gaming with a 10 year-old CPU: legendary Sandy Bridge i5-2600K delivers solid gaming results when paired with the RX 6900XT

Russian outlet Gecid.com recently ran 2021 gaming benchmarks on an overclocked Core i5-2600K. They aimed to see how the legendary Sandy Bridge chip holds up when paired with the Radeon RX 6900XT. Despite being 10 generations older than Alder Lake parts, the i5-2600K seemingly had no problem handing in 60 FPS or more in punishing titles like Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.
