West Midlands police have arrested a man and are searching for two other suspects in connection with an “appalling” homophobic hate crime in Birmingham’s Gay Village in which two men were abused and then cut with broken bottles.
The man, believed to be Mosin Mahmood, 31, handed himself in after an appeal in which he was named along with two others. He was arrested on suspicion of wounding and remains in custody.
