Has everyone who is editing this page lost their marbles? The first source on this page is a pdf of an unsubmitted graduate student’s thesis, not something peer reviewed? Seriously?! And what is with all the blanket statements such as: {{tq|”Islamic law says X”}}, {{tq|Islam allows X}}, etc.? Islamic law and Islam don’t DO anything? They are inanimate. People, with their interpretations in different times and places, DO things. Every example given in a piece like this has to be carefully contextualised. I thought this page would be bad before I clicked on it, but boy did I lack imagination. This is a complete joke.
