SEATTLE — A long-anticipated snowfall that started in many locations in the Seattle area Saturday was expected to pick up overnight, and drop between 2 and 7 inches over Puget Sound and Western Washington by Monday. The flakes will fall as showers, creating “highly variable snow accumulations” across the region, says the National Weather Service. Hills will likely get more than lowlands.
