気象庁は 15 日、12 日に発表した緊急速報メール配信の見直しをいったん見送ることにしたと発表した(報道発表資料)。

気象庁ではさまざまな防災情報を配信するプッシュ型通知サービス普及を理由として、気象等および噴火に関する特別警報の緊急速報メール配信を 10 月 28 日をもって終了すると 12 日に発表していた。なお、緊急地震速報や津波警報等に関する緊急速報メールは見直しの対象になっていない。
