6月にトラックの荷台に載せたショベルカーを下ろす際、機体ごと地面に転落。乗っていた作業員が亡くなる事故があったという。この事故の原因として、降りるときにスロープ等を使わず、アームの操作のみで降りる移動手段を用いたことが原因だったと報じられている。こうした手法は裏技的なものとして業界で日常的に使われていたとされる。高松労働基準監督署は「想定外で危険な方法」と驚いたとしている（朝日新聞、まとめまとめ、動画）。
