気候変動の影響で「未来を恐れる」若者が増えている:心理学者が語る異常気象とメンタルヘルスの関係

加速する気候変動について研究者が10カ国の若者に調査したところ、「未来が怖い」「人類の未来は絶望的」といった回答が半数を超えた。重大な自然災害に晒されることで未来に対する恐怖感が生まれるばかりか、失われたものや消えつつあるものを思って喪失感を覚える「エコロジカル・グリーフ」も深刻化している。こうした現状について、今回の調査報告の共同執筆者でもある心理学者のスーザン・クレイトンに訊いた。
